Purpose Beyond Profit: Ultimate Guide to Meaningful Growth

Purpose Beyond Profit: Transform Your Life With Strategy

A few years ago, if someone had asked me why I do what I do, my answer would have been simple: I want to help people.

That answer guided so many of my decisions. It inspired the conversations I had, the communities I built, the events I created, and the relationships I invested in. I was focused on impact.

That felt like enough for a long time, then something unexpected happened.

I realized that purpose asks more of us than passion alone. It asks for clarity. It asks us to honor our time, energy, and gifts with the same care we extend to others.

That realization challenged me.

I began looking at my work through a different lens. I started asking questions that were less about doing more and more and more about doing what matters most. What am I building, and why?

Those questions led me back to purpose.

Through the World Healing Tour, I've had the privilege of witnessing extraordinary moments. I've watched strangers become friends. I've seen people share stories they carried silently for years. I've watched a single conversation spark healing, courage, and hope.

Moments like these remind me that people are searching for something deeper than success. They're searching for connection, for meaning. That search is universal.

Many people spend years pursuing goals, checking boxes, and reaching milestones, only to discover that achievement alone doesn't create fulfillment. Meaning comes from knowing that what you are building reflects who you are becoming.

For me, purpose has never been about accumulating more but about contributing more. It's about creating spaces where people can grow, learn, connect, and remember their value.

That's part of what inspired The Grass Grows Where I Am. Bringing together 18 co-authors taught me that every person carries wisdom through their lived experiences. Each chapter became a reminder that our stories have the power to help someone else feel less alone.

As I continue growing, I find myself returning to a simple truth: success feels different when it's connected to something larger than yourself.

Profit measures results. Purpose measures impact.

When the two work together, they create something powerful: a life that reflects your values, vision, and deepest commitment to serving others.

That's the kind of success I'm pursuing, and I hope more people give themselves permission to pursue this as well.
